The DVLA User Research team are looking to interview around a dozen different dealers, who sell electric cars, about the introduction of Electric Vehicle Excise Duty (eVED) – GOV.UK from April 2028. The aim is to gather feedback, understand how their behaviours may change once eVED is implemented and also conduct some usability testing of the planned services. The sessions will be held across November, either in person (depending on location) or via Microsoft Teams, and will last no more than an hour.

This is really valuable work and an opportunity for you to help shape the service when launched.

The target audience for these sessions are dealers with a stock of between 10 and 50 electric cars – so predominantly relevant for EV specialists.

Can anyone who is happy to be involved please email NFDA@rmif.co.uk ASAP, but ideally by Friday 6 November 2026. We will then ask our User Research team to liaise with them directly to arrange mutually convenient appointments.
