Promote your interests
Promote the interests of franchised dealers to manufacturers, UK and European Government, other industry trade bodies and consumers.
Manufacturer advice & assistance
Provide advice and assistance for dealers when dealing with their manufacturer. Liaise with manufacturers, Government, suppliers and service providers on your behalf.
Government engagement
old regular meetings with key Government departments including the Department for Transport (DfT), DVLA, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and HMRC.
Industry data & surveys
Provide industry statistical information and data reports, including the twice yearly Dealer Attitude Survey (DAS) and Consumer Attitude Survey — critical tools for lobbying manufacturers.
News & legislative updates
Provide regular updates on motor industry news, legislative and regulatory changes, Government consultations and market data — including our weekly news bulletin and quarterly magazine, The Voice.
Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA)
Certifying excellence in the EV sector through the Government-endorsed and funded Electric Vehicle Approved scheme, launched in May 2019.
Drive My Career
Promote career opportunities in the retail automotive industry through our industry-first Drive My Career initiative, connecting employers with the workforce of the future.
European representation
Promote the interests of dealers at European level via our partner, the Alliance of European Car Dealers and Repairers (AECDR), engaging with MEPs and EC officials.

NFDA Associate Members
NFDA Associate Membership is open to companies that supply products and services to franchised automotive retailers. It provides a formal affiliation with the UK’s leading automotive trade body and direct access to the franchised dealer network.
Associate members are listed in the NFDA supplier directory, receive invitations to NFDA events and conferences, and benefit from the NFDA’s endorsement of their products and services to the dealer community.

- Your company supplies products or services to franchised car or commercial vehicle dealers
- You are not otherwise eligible for full NFDA dealer membership
- Your business is UK-based or operates in the UK automotive retail market
