On Tuesday the NFDA’s F&I Manager David Hammersley attended the FCA strategy meeting for 2025 – 2030. The FCA published its strategy which set out how they will work over these next five years to deepen trust, support growth, rebalance risk and help consumers. They talked about their priorities with members of the board and senior leadership on hand to elaborate. The FCA’s four priorities included: • Being a smarter regulator, more efficient and effective • Supporting sustained economic growth and innovation • Helping consumers navigate their financial lives • Fighting financial crime At the meeting he spoke with Nikhil Rathi, the chief executive of the FCA, where Rathi commented on NFDA’s inclusion in the upcoming Supreme Court hearing on motor finance commission cases (1 – 3 April) and our valuable intervention in the case. The NFDA will work closely with the FCA to support the automotive sector through to 2030.
