Ahead of Results Day tomorrow, 14 August, the National Franchised Dealers Association’s (NFDA) employment initiative, Drive My Career (DMC), is encouraging students to consider the wealth of opportunities available in the automotive industry. Sue Robinson, Chief Executive of the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA), commented: “Results Day can be a turning point for many young people, and whatever your results, there is a path to success. The automotive sector is dynamic, future-focused, and offers opportunities for all skill sets. Whether you want to work hands-on with cutting-edge electric vehicles, in customer service, marketing, or business operations. “With nearly half a million people employed in the automotive retail sector, our members provide accessible, high-quality roles that don’t always require a university degree. It’s an industry where you can develop skills and be part of a sector undergoing exciting change with sustainability and innovation at its core. Later this year, Drive My Career will be participating in two major careers fairs, giving students and jobseekers the chance to explore opportunities and speak directly to employers: Birmingham Careers Fair – 26 September 2025 – Leonardo Royal Hotel London Careers Fair – 7 November 2025 – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium “These events are the perfect chance to explore options, ask questions, and discover the variety of roles available in automotive retail. Whether you have just opened your results envelope or are still figuring out your next move, our sector is evolving and needs fresh talent to keep moving forward.
