The meeting was well attended, with the Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) providing a detailed update on the current MOT landscape across Northern Ireland, outlining ongoing challenges for motorists and businesses. In addition, Bill Downey from Autotrader delivered an in-depth overview of emerging market trends in the region. Other areas included an update on NFDA’s continued lobbying to address the Type Approval issue and discussions on the upcoming Budget. Sue Robinson added: “Our members are committed to staying informed and engaged, and this meeting highlights the strength of collaboration across the region.” This Wednesday, NI/NFDA will have an opportunity to continue their discussions on Vehicle Type Approval with Government officials at the Committee for the Economy, ensuring their views are heard at the highest levels.
