NFDA has received a response from Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury, Dan Tomlinson MP, as part of our ongoing engagement with Government on Expensive Vehicle Excise Duty (eVED) and its impact on the automotive sector. The response follows NFDA’s continued efforts to highlight the implications of eVED for retailers, manufacturers and consumers. NFDA is offering alternative solutions to the current eVED implementation, which could harm EV adoption at a critical point in the transition.
