Across spring, NFDA welcomed members to a selection of Regional Committee Meetings; an essential part of NFDA engagement, taking place on a quarterly basis throughout the country. Agendas are designed to give an opportunity to discuss current market trends, updates on NFDA activity within F&I, Aftersales and EV, HR and Government Policy. They also provide members with a valuable opportunity to share their experiences, raise concerns and help inform NFDA’s ongoing policy and lobbying initiatives. Forming the basis of ongoing work and research that NFDA carryout on the behalf of members, which includes engaging with regulators FCA, FOS, Department for Business and Trade and Government branches that influence our sector (Department of Transport, DVSA, DVLA), we gather feedback and insight that ensures NFDA can continue to represent members’ views effectively when engaging with key stakeholders and decision-makers. Prominent efforts carried out on the behalf of members include the Supreme Court Intervention on the Motor Finance Redress Scheme; a move that would not have been as successful if it wasn’t for the collaborative work that was carried out between NFDA members. This demonstrates the importance of contributing views and experiences through NFDA’s regional network. A premium networking hub for regional business leaders in an open and informal setting, the meetings also provide an opportunity to hear how other businesses are responding to current challenges and opportunities across the sector.
