The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has announced the appointment of Tim Moss CBE as its new Chief Executive , effective from 31 March 2025 . Tim Moss is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Director General for Corporate Services and Inspectorates at the Welsh Government. He previously served as Chief Executive of the Intellectual Property Office , where he managed key functions including finance, HR, and digital transformation. The Secretary of State for Transport, Heidi Alexander MP , confirmed his appointment and thanked Julie Lennard, the outgoing CEO , for her service. She also acknowledged Lynette Rose , who has served as interim CEO and will return to her role as Director of Strategy, Policy, and Communications at the end of March.
